The Viking Age was a period of considerable religious change. Part of the popular image of the Vikings is that they were all pagans, with a hatred of the Christian Church, but this view is very misleading. Toward the end of the Viking Age, from about 1000 to 1066, the Christian Church became more of an influence on the Vikings and they became less warlike. The Vikings came into contact with Christianity through their raids, and when they settled in lands with a Christian population, they adopted Christianity quite quickly. Viking crosses took on many different shapes and sizes. This original Viking Cross is set in a solid 14k yellow gold 17.96g and diamond 1.43 tcw bezel.
